AISC Ratified Constitution Communication Update

Dear Members,

We are excited to share some important news following the Special General Meeting (SGM) held on 17 May 2026. Thanks to your participation and dedication, we have lodged a newly ratified version of the Auckland Indian Sports Club constitution with both the Incorporated Societies Office and the Charitable Trusts Office. The SGM was attended by 21 eligible members, with an additional 28 proxy votes received before the meeting. After a thorough ballot process, a major majority supported the attached constitution, now officially ratified as Revision 5, with the ratification date clearly noted in the header.
 
This ratified constitution serves as an interim version while we embark on a community consultation process. We are committed to ensuring that the constitution reflects the views and needs of our members, and we anticipate updating the document following a further SGM later this year. The Executive Committee would like to begin the community consultation process and invites your valuable feedback on the ratified constitution. Please see the attached Feedback Form for collating feedback. Please fill in the table with the clause reference, proposed changes, why the changes are considered necessary, and what the proposed changes aim to achieve.

We will aim to have submitters available to answer any queries regarding your comments or proposed changes.

Should anyone be unable to complete this form themselves, please contact the Club so we can arrange for someone to assist them in completing it.

We also welcome expressions of interest from members who wish to join a working group to explore proposed changes arising from the community.

THE ACTIONS RESULTING FROM THE MEETING ARE AS FOLLOWS:

- Submission of the ratified constitution to the Incorporated Societies office and Charitable Trust office.

- Distribution of the ratified constitution, meeting minutes, and an action list to all members via email.

- Initiation of a community consultation process, clearly outlining the steps for ratifying an amended version if desired.

- Scheduling of an SGM to ratify any amended constitution, should revisions be proposed.

- Establishment of a website or another platform to record and monitor the membership status of our players.
